It’s a dirty job but somebody’s gotta do it.

Seriously, what a waste of time. It sounds like you’re just mad at a world that expects you to wake up at 7 AM, punch in your card, and put in a good 8 hours of WORK to get the things you want.

It’s no secret that many Americans think that they’re too “good” to wash their own dirty dishes in restaurants, too “good” to mop their own dingy floors in buildings, and too “good” to shovel their own shit in sewage treatment plants.

Then illegal immigrants come in and snatch up these undesirable, “uneducated loser” jobs (and boost the economy in some ways) because they’re desperate for a better life and need money for their families, and Americans get their panties all up in a bunch about that, too. Why don’t they point their fingers at the real “goons”? Meaning, the top 2% of the population who control the government and purposely manipulate the system to keep 98% of the world’s wealth for themselves, thus forcing everyone else to fight over the rest, or worse, scrounge around, live like animals, and starve to death in masses.

I was really hoping to see something about big, crooked corporations like Wal*Mart who offer their workers two choices: earn such low wages that you and your children live in poverty, or be homeless.

did you even watch this cartoon? it has NOTHING to do with anything you're rambling about. Walmart?? Illegal Immigration?!

perhaps it wasn't clear enough, but this is meant to be viewed as propaganda from a fascist state (the Company $tate, or CO.ST). so when they portray the menial jobs of society in an unfavorable light in this reel, it is to make joining the G.O.O.N.S. seem more appealing. a ham-fisted manipulation of the viewer, if you will. and besides all that, it's SATYRE! so loosen up.

if you want a cartoon about the plight of the working man, watch The Agent ep.1.

An Outrage!!!

This deserves a much better score. It is superb in every way.

This is really cool.

I like this a lot. But to make it even better I think that you should use little to no text at all, and instead use facial expressions, movement, symbols, and pictures to illustrate what's going on. It will have a really neat effect when paired with the sounds that the creatures make, which should not be overdone because they're brash and annoying as hell… For instance, think of when Sedrick was telling Duncan his plan to capture Greevil and throw him off of a cliff. There could have been a “light bulb” to show that he had an idea, and then a little text bubble over his head depicting a small animation of them carrying out those actions instead of boring, old text. When Sedrick was saying that Greevil was “evil,” he could have had a thought or text bubble depicting Greevil with devil horns, a trident, and a tail, just like your everyday-run-of-the-mill Satan. Then Duncan could have patted Greevil on the head and had a text bubble showing Greevil with a halo and angel wings. When Sedrick wanted to kill Greevil with the cleaver, instead of saying “Don’t hurt him!” with text, Duncan could have moved in front of Greevil to protect him from Sedrick.

Also, this is clearly not for children. Anyone who says that is uneducated, ignorant about parenting, and determined to make society worse than it is.

Thanks for the suggestions, they are very good ideas. To be honest, I had actually considered just this when I started out. I went the other way, as it were.

Thanks again for the review.

Making things with Flash MX is a great outlet for your sick, fucked up thoughts.
